The Collecting Cultures scheme operated by the Heritage Lottery Fund has allowed the Museum to purchase important works of art.  We have grown our permanent collection with the following important pieces:

 

 

In 2009 we were able to purchase William Fortescue's 1910 painting entitled Watering the Garden Room

 

 

 

 

 

 

In 2008 we were able to aquire the 1940 work by Archibald Standish Hartrick Clapham Common Dig for Victory

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also in 2009 we aquired Tony Tetley's 1970 painting entitled Figures in the Park
